Chief Financial Officer

Credit Unions

Washington, DC

2021-02-23

Smith and Wilkinson has been retained by Congressional Federal Credit Union to assist in the management of the search for their next Chief Financial Officer.

Founded in 1953 with $40 dollars in deposits, Congressional has grown into a full-service financial institution with over 46,000 members. Under new leadership with a renewed focus on exceeding their member’s needs, Congressional is well capitalized and enters 2021 in excellent financial shape with plans to extend membership throughout the Capital Region. Congressional Federal Credit Union is now $1.1B in assets with locations in Washington D.C. and Northern Virginia.

The incoming Chief Financial Officer will enter the senior management team with a focus on the complete leadership of the finance and accounting function with the need to add multiple staff members to this team. Reporting to the President and CEO, we’re after someone that has a broad understanding of complex Asset Liability Management strategy and the management of a sizeable Investment portfolio, with experience within financial services to fill this role.
