S&W has been retained by Colonial Federal Savings Bank (colonialfed.com) to manage the search for the newly created position of Controller-Senior Bank Accountant.

Headquartered in Quincy, MA, and founded in 1889, Colonial Federal has been a steady financial partner to area consumers and small businesses for 133 years. The bank has approximately $360MM in total assets and operates 4 retail locations in Quincy, Holbrook, and Weymouth. In January of ’22 the bank completed a minority offering and is now traded on the NASDAQ exchange. The bank is in sound financial condition with good earnings and asset quality and notably has over 17% core capital as a result of its minority offering.

Reporting to the bank’s Chief Financial Officer, the Controller will play a key role in the growth of the bank following its offering. Major responsibilities will include preparation of all relevant SEC financial statements (10-Q, 10-K), call reports, and GL reconciliations, being the liaison with auditors and regulators on relevant financial reports, and interfacing with the bank’s Board of Directors on the financial performance of the bank.
