Enterprise Application Manager
New England Federal Credit Union is the largest financial institution headquartered in Vermont, with total assets of $1.6B, seven branches, and over 92,000 active members. Their eligible members live, work, or attend school in any of the following Vermont counties: Addison, Bennington, Caledonia, Chittenden, Franklin, Grand Isle, Lamoille, Orange, Rutland, Windham, Windsor, and Washington. In addition, NEFCU now services four counties in New Hampshire (Cheshire, Grafton, Merrimack, and Sullivan). NEFCU is a progressive financial institution that is dedicated to improving the financial well-being of their members. In addition, NEFCU acquired HealthOne, now operating under the brand name Direct Financial, a division of New England Federal Credit Union, in Detroit, Michigan. Direct Financial has two retail branches and approximately 2,500 members and total assets of $14M.
The Enterprise Application Manager will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and support of key enterprise platforms within the organization. The selected individual will manage a team of direct reports who implement and support critical business applications, including required data integrations and security requirements. The EAM will work with third party vendors and partners to design, deploy, and support applications necessary to meet the organizational initiatives. In addition, this person will spearhead the organization’s centralized Business Intelligence and Data Analytics efforts to deliver relevant reporting and analysis to meet the evolving needs of a financial organization, while providing oversight and guidance to help ensure proper data governance.
• Responsible for operational vendor management to meet organizational needs
o Directly manage routine vendor support and interactions to meet credit union requirements.
o Monitor and respond to vendor service levels as appropriate.
o Provide direct oversight and support to vendor and contractor project work.
• Management of Staff
o Evaluate the performance of direct reports and provide ongoing coaching and staff development.
o Set and measure performance objectives and provides regular one-on-one feedback to all members of the team.
o Addresses individual staff performance problems as needed.
o Ensures adherence to policies and procedures.
• Responsible for coordination, management and routine oversight of application integrations and automation
o Evaluate, implement, and support system integrations and data sharing requirements for supported enterprise software applications and platforms.
o Evaluate, implement, and support systems and platform automations to maximize efficiencies while minimizing errors and downtime.
• Development and Management of Centralized Business Intelligence and Data Analytic Initiatives.
o Utilize current and emerging technologies to support current and future data needs of the Credit Union.
o Utilizing strong stakeholder relationships, evaluate and implement business reporting and data analytic required to meet the needs of the ? Credit Union
o Evaluate, implement, and support platforms and standards to deliver consistent robust business reporting.
